These country-programs also allow you to invest, but they all lead to the acquisition of their corresponding residency permits at first. Each country then has its own rules, regulations and conditions to qualify for citizenship and become globally-mobile.
It is important to note, however, that all these programs – CBI or RBI – have several optional pathways to follow with several investment types (real estate, government bonds, bank deposit, entrepreneur, etc…), each carefully designed by its corresponding country to fit a specific investor persona. In other words, countries are neither “selling” their citizenships nor are they philanthropic organizations with open arms; their programs are in place for the sole purpose of attracting investors with certain profiles, which MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be yours.
So where should you start? Certainly not by shopping based on price – mobility investment is not a purchase, it’s a strategic life decision.
Our advice… Don’t go where salespersons, paid speakers and advertisers are trying to take you. First, get to know your investor profile and determine your needs. Then we will help you identify the programs that satisfy both and pick the one that matches your financial capability… NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
